Ryan Rana, PhD
Ryan Rana, PhD, LMFT, LPC is an ICEEFT Certified EFT Supervisor and Trainer and the current President and Founder of the Arkansas EFT Center. Together with his spouse, he established The Joshua Center for Counseling where he currently practices and acts as the Executive Director. Dr. Rana specializations include couples therapy, sexuality, depression, and traumatic stress. In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Rana works with others on organization and leadership approaches as well as the study of military training processes and performance psychology. Alternatively, as co-host of a popular EFT based educational podcast called The Leading Edge in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Dr. Rana actively strives to help therapists learn to navigate both the challenges and nuances of the model. Before becoming a therapist, Ryan was a college athlete in baseball and was a pitching coach at the collegiate level.

Join us for an advanced 2 1/2-day EFT training for the post core skills/seasoned clinician designed to help laser focus and master the complexities and nuances that couples bring to session. The presentation will provide concrete interventions--beyond the basics--for proficiently mastering client blocks, bullets, exits, escalations, interruptions, and more. OBJECTIVES
1. Demonstrate how to sharpen your focus with a decision tree of interventions based on attunement to the emotional reactivity in the session in EFT.
2. Distinguish the various decision tree choices and transitions in EFT.
3. Identify how to layer multiple EFT interventions to assemble a client’s emotional experience.
4. Select when to stop pushing for deep emotion and get more in tune via assembly work and a
vivid/somatic trigger in couple’s therapy.
5. Apply the pivot between the Alpha to Bravo moves in sessions with couples.
6. Identify the order of change in the tango when working with couples.
7. Select how and when to access and share negative view of self and disowned parts of self in
sessions with couples.
8. Identify and know interventions to work with various levels of blocks in EFT.
9. Identify various bullets and interventions in EFT and how to work with them.
10. Demonstrate how the therapist uses their vocal tone, words, and pacing to evoke client emotion.
11. Demonstrate the micro skills of reflection, acceptance, validation, and exploration (RAVE) to open up space for clients to expand their emotional experience.
12. Recognize the Level of Experiencing Scale and how to apply it to the client’s experience.

All travel related costs will be subject to your own contractual agreement directly with the hotel, car rental company, airline, etc. (It is advised to book refundable/changeable travel; however, this is entirely up to your discretion). All other registration refund requests will be provided to you minus the fees presented above. If you qualified for a scholarship, due to limited amounts, please notify us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend so that scholarship funds can open up for someone else. Less than 4 days' notice - 25% refund on your registration fee
4 - 14 days' notice - 50% refund on your registration fee
14+ days' notice - full refund minus flat $75 administrative fee
* Registration refund amounts are based on our fixed costs and contractual obligations. When you enroll, it is with the understanding that you will attend. If an "Act of G-d" or nature requires SFCEFT to cancel or postpone this event, we will apply your fee to the make-up date which will likely be within 6 mos. time. If you can't attend the make-up date, you will receive a 75% refund. If SFCEFT can't secure a make-up date, you will receive a full refund.
